QUICK TIPS

1. 🎯 Before launching your new site, here’s what to double-check first

Before celebrating a “finished” photography website, make sure you’ve tested it like a client would.

Here’s a mini checklist I always share before a soft launch:

✅ Test the full purchase process (yes, including payments — even $1 test orders help spot issues early).

✅ Review coupon codes or discounts — make sure they apply as intended.

✅ Check every gallery image for consistent sizing and cropping.

✅ Try every form and button — no broken submissions or confusing UX.

✅ Ensure Google Analytics and Search Console are tracking properly.

A beautiful website means nothing if the client experience isn’t seamless.

This also applies to old website. Have you tested your own site like a customer lately?

2. 💰 Value-based pricing: your burnout insurance

Photographers undercharge the most during peak season — when demand is highest.

Let’s fix that.

Raise your prices for high-demand weekends or seasonal mini-session slots. $300 might be fine in spring… but if it feels unsustainable in October, try $400+ for prime dates.

This does 3 things:

  • You get paid more for your time

  • You attract clients who value your work

  • You reduce the chance of burning out

Happier you = better sessions = happier clients.
