QUICK TIPS
1. 🎯 Before launching your new site, here’s what to double-check first
Before celebrating a “finished” photography website, make sure you’ve tested it like a client would.
Here’s a mini checklist I always share before a soft launch:
✅ Test the full purchase process (yes, including payments — even $1 test orders help spot issues early).
✅ Review coupon codes or discounts — make sure they apply as intended.
✅ Check every gallery image for consistent sizing and cropping.
✅ Try every form and button — no broken submissions or confusing UX.
✅ Ensure Google Analytics and Search Console are tracking properly.
A beautiful website means nothing if the client experience isn’t seamless.
This also applies to old website. Have you tested your own site like a customer lately?
2. 💰 Value-based pricing: your burnout insurance
Photographers undercharge the most during peak season — when demand is highest.
Let’s fix that.
Raise your prices for high-demand weekends or seasonal mini-session slots. $300 might be fine in spring… but if it feels unsustainable in October, try $400+ for prime dates.
This does 3 things:
You get paid more for your time
You attract clients who value your work
You reduce the chance of burning out
Happier you = better sessions = happier clients.
3. 🔍 Why your homepage needs your face
You are the product. Especially in weddings, portraits, or any service-based niche — clients hire YOU.
So when your homepage says “Hi, I’m Loren” with no photo… people are left guessing:
Is Loren a guy or a girl?
Is this a solo biz or a team?
Do I trust this person?
✅ Include a friendly photo of yourself early on the homepage
✅ Add a short intro sentence that builds instant trust
✅ Don’t rely on your About page — many visitors never get there
Your site is your #1 salesperson. Make it personable.

DEEP DIVE
🤔 Wondering why your website doesn't get more bookings?
If you're getting website traffic or inquiries but not enough bookings, the issue likely lies in how you're positioning yourself, how your website is structured, and how you're communicating with potential clients.
Always start with positioning
If your site or brand looks like “just another photographer,” it’s going to be tough to stand out.
Ask yourself:
Do you clearly communicate what makes you different?
Are you speaking directly to your ideal client’s needs?
Are you showing value beyond just pretty images?
Define and communicate your unique value proposition, not just your genres or gear.
Then optimize your website to guide people
Once they land on your site, visitors need to be gently led toward action.
Key tips:
Simplify navigation — don’t make people guess where to click
Strong call-to-action buttons on every major page: Portfolio > Pricing > Contact
Clear messaging above the fold: what you do, for whom, and what makes you different
Avoid generic phrases like “welcome to my website” — instead say: “Modern portrait photography for families who value timeless, artistic imagery.”
Do the SEO basics
You can’t generate leads if people don’t find your site. Focus on:
Optimized page titles & meta-descriptions
Keyworded gallery titles & blog posts
Local SEO (Google My Business!)
Fast loading, mobile-friendly design
Improve your contact experience
Your contact page should reduce friction, not add it. Don’t ask for too much too soon — just the essentials.
Offer multiple ways to contact you (form, direct email, phone if relevant), mention how quickly they’ll hear back from you (and follow through!), and maybe also use a short inquiry form on popular galleries/pages as well
Make it easy for visitors to trust you.
Show testimonials strategically on your service pages or in pricing guides, and add small client logos if you’ve worked with known brands.
Also share case studies or behind-the-scenes stories that show the experience of working with you
Track & adjust
Use Google Analytics and heatmap tools (like Hotjar) to understand:
Where people are dropping off
Which pages have the most traffic but low engagement
What devices they’re using
That's because refining conversion is an ongoing process. It’s okay to experiment, measure, and tweak until things work better.
And if you want a deeper dive into your website specifically, my website audit service is built exactly for that!

Running a successful photography website takes more than just great images.
If your site is slow, broken, or out of date, you’re losing trust — and probably bookings.
I’ll keep your site fast, secure, and well-maintained — so you can focus on your photography, not tech headaches.
A website support plan is for you if...
You're afraid to update your site because things might break
Site tech issues steal hours you’d rather spend shooting or editing.
Managing the site yourself creates performance or security problems
You need someone reliable for small fixes, updates, or content tweaks
You're not sure how to improve SEO, speed, or usability — or who to trust for help
You want peace of mind that your site is always secure, fast, and professionally maintained

TESTIMONIAL
“I wanted to give you some feedback that I had received today from new client. Apparently he searched for a photographer via AI and found me this way. He said, out of the 5 websites he visited, mine was ’the most warm and heartfelt’ :) (the other ones looked like templates)…
Isn’t that just amazing!!! Exactly what I wanted to achieve! Thank you so so much again!!!!”

SEO TIP
🌐 Turn Google into your best distributor, not your gatekeeper
Most photographers think of Google as an algorithm to “rank” on.
But in 2025, it’s a distribution system deciding which creators to spotlight — across maps, video, and AI summaries.
So instead of just optimizing for keywords, start optimizing for source selection.
Make Google’s AI want to cite your content.
Here’s how:
Publish one “pillar” page answering your niche’s main question in plain English.
Layer in proof — client stories, original data, and visible update dates.
Use schema (Article, FAQ, LocalBusiness) to connect your website to your YouTube and Google Business profiles.
Many photographers increase visibility by simply aligning these three platforms — without publishing more content.
