QUICK TIPS

Some photographers think, “I already have my email on the About page or footer, I don’t need a Contact link in the menu.”

Not true.

Contact deserves its own spot in your main navigation — always.

  • It’s one of the most visited pages.

  • It’s how leads and clients take action.

  • It’s expected.

Even if it repeats info from other pages, a dedicated Contact page reduces friction. And fewer clicks to get in touch = more inquiries.

2. 🧹 Clean up leftover demo content from your theme

When setting up your site, many WordPress themes install demo content to get you started — but forgetting to remove it later can hurt your SEO.

Make sure to delete:

  • Demo pages and placeholder text

  • Theme template content you didn’t edit

  • Old cloned/duplicated pages you never used

  • Pages removed from navigation but still live and indexed

Anything that doesn’t add value to your users (or worse, confuses Google) should go. A tidy site = better rankings and a smoother user experience.
