1. 🎨 The colored bar under your page headings is aging your site
That solid strip under every page title? It's the loudest "built in 2018" signal your site still carries.
Themes shipped them by default for years. Teal bar, purple bar, black bar, with the page heading sitting inside the box. In 2026 it reads heavy. It breaks the flow between your header and your content. The heading stops being typography and starts being a label on a box.
I had a client last month ask if hers was too much. She'd already pulled it off her homepage and was second-guessing the rest. It was. She killed it sitewide and the site breathed again.
The fix takes a minute. Open your theme or page builder, find the Page Header section, set the background to transparent or white, then recolor the heading text itself in your brand color. Add a bit of breathing room below it. Done.
The box was never the brand. The type was.
2. 💸 Don't run ads to a site that can't close

Every slow season, photographers reach for the same lever.
Boost a post. Run Google Ads. Try reels. Pay for followers.
Fine impulses. Terrible order of operations.
Here's what happens when you push paid traffic to an inquiry page that was already broken. Google spends your budget. People land. Fourteen required form fields, no pricing ballpark, a logo instead of a face. They close the tab. Next month you conclude that ads don't work.
Ads worked. Your site didn't.
Before you spend a dollar on traffic, do the 60-second audit. Open your site in incognito on your phone. Can a stranger find, in under a minute, your price range, your response time, and your face? If the answer to any of those is no, fix that first.
I've watched photographers triple their inquiries without changing a single channel. Same Instagram. Same ranking. Same referral volume. They just stopped leaking visitors at the door.
A 3 percent conversion improvement on the same traffic beats any ad campaign you can buy.
