QUICK TIPS
1. Your website homepage shouldn't say: "Welcome". It's just boring.
There's really no need to say "welcome" on your homepage. Or something like this: "Welcome to my travel portfolio". Again, it's boring!
Using the word "welcome" on your homepage has become such a cliché. It's similar to using the phrase "passionate about photography" in your About page.
It's just overdone, and you should try to avoid it. You should try to write something more clever or ask Chat GPT to help you phrase it better.
2. Show your personality in your photographer bio.
When writing your About page, remember that you're writing this for humans, not for search engines in particular. Or at least that's what you should be doing. So it helps to be friendly, confident and clear, showcasing all the communication skills you use when talking to someone face-to-face.
Inside the text, it's usually a good idea to also include some humor, to show your personality in some way: you don't have to go at-length about your personal life, but a few glimpses into your personal preferences would be nice.
And beware of the invisible line between being funny and being condescending. Get feedback from some close friends.
